WatchMaker

A rigging toolbox for watches escapements

WatchMaker Demo

If you're not familiar with mechanical watches fundamentals, I invite you to consult this page and the following videos to understand the principles of the swiss anchor escapement and the co-axial escapement.

WatchMaker was built for i-réel to ease management of watch rigging and animation, by providing controls over several parameters to respect the high-precision mechanics of fine watchmaking. It allows its user to instantly rig watch escapements with anchors.
Each piece of it is assigned a controls with properties, as osciallation angle and damping for balance wheel and anchor, or number of teeth for the escapement wheel.
The escapement's frequency is also managable via a master control, which also provides time control to run, stop, accelerate or decelarate as desired.
